E-Learning
Rescue Bill Safety Interaction
Note: I am not permitted to share completed projects at this time. This is part of an internal safety training on confined spaces for our partner in the UK. I used Adobe Illustrator to make this interaction seem animated while also making it feel like a game. I believe it is extra important when content is text heavy to design interactions that keep the learner engaged.
Goal: Operators gain new knowledge and an understanding of confined spaces, and they apply this information in their workspace to protect themselves and others.
Problem: Entering confined spaces without any training results in life-threatening injuries or death.
Solution: All operators demonstrate new knowledge and understanding of how to enter a confined space by earning an 80% or higher on the final exam.

Fire Warden Training
This is one part of a series of eLearning modules for our partner in the UK. I hope you enjoy the fire extinguisher interaction that allows the learner to reveal information. I used Adobe Illustrator for the illustration.
Goal: Fire wardens score 80% or higher on the final exam and demonstrate new knowledge of their role, responsibilities, and workplace fire risks.
Problem: An outdated PowerPoint on fire warden training failed to effectively reach a large audience.
Solution: I developed a more interactive learning experience that tracks the learner's progress. Over 90% of fire wardens score at least 80% on the final assessment and can demonstrate knowledge of their role, responsibilities, and workplace fire risks.

Video Editing
Introduction to the Case Packer
Description: Sometimes I will start operator training modules with eye-catching short videos that serve as an overview. This is a quick and engaging way to expose the learner to the machine components while the voiceover briefly explains what exactly the machine does. I typically use Premiere Pro, but I believe I edited this video in Camtasia. I used an iPhone Pro Max 14 to film the clips of the machine running.

Tortilla Oven Drawing
Description: When I have to develop training on a machine that lacks a robust set of assets, I need to get creative. I used a low-resolution image of this machine and replicated it in Adobe Illustrator. This drawing earned many complements in the review phase and will be an asset for future projects, not just the tortilla oven module for which it was intended.
Tools: Illustrator
Description: I drew the back end of the tortilla oven in Illustrator and then, I brought that file into After Effects to animate it. This is my first ever animation in After Effects. Watch as the chips come out of the oven. I am still learning the program and by no means am I an expert; however, I look forward to developing my skills. I believe it is important for the learner to see motion on the screen as opposed to static images.

Process Improvement
Translation Process
Description: The purpose of this document is to assist the team in writing scripts for translation. When done correctly, any developer should be able to plug the translations (once completed by translation services) back into a Storyline module/course without needing to comprehend the other language. The template for a translation script is not depicted here. Also not depicted here, is the Storyline module I developed to teach the team how to submit projects/scripts for translation. I oversee the translation process for training modules, learning pathways, and documents in my department since I have a background in Spanish linguistics. Our goal is to eventually have all modules translated to Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and Portuguese.
Problem: Everyone on the global team had been tackling translation differently, so we desperately needed to streamline the process and make sure everyone was on the same page.
Solution: This document, the Storyline training, and the translation script template have made the process much easier.

Quick Guides
Description: Quick Guides highlight key information under the resources tab of eLearning modules. These resources also alleviate text heaviness in a course. Rather than bombard the learner with all information at once, the learner can access and print this information at their convenience.
